Task Types
Task types are used to organize what you’re tracking when you create a WIP item. When you create a WIP item, you’ll have access to different features depending on what type of task the WIP item is for. For instance, when you create a WIP item for a quote (this is the task type) you’ll be able to fill out line items and generate a quote directly from that WIP card. There are seven task types in the Do+Track system, and you can create a new task type within any of those seven categories.
To create a new task, choose from one of the seven types- a standard do and track type (this is the only non-financial task type), sales order request, purchase order request, expense request, request for quote, vendor request for quote, or opportunity. Then, click on the plus sign in the top right corner of that task type, enter the details of your new task, and click submit. To view each task, click on the eye symbol in the top right corner of the task type which you want to view. You’ll see a list of every task within that type.
